I don’t want you to be perfect. I don’t want you to be perfect because perfect is not human.
Perfect is not natural.
I want you to be you, with all the flaws you’re hiding because you’re ashamed of them.
As we all are. But that is what makes us special and unique. I want you to let all of your imperfections out.
I want you to show up late to our date and then apologize for it and make it up to me.
I want you to forget to call me when you get back home and then text me in the morning saying you’re sorry.
I want you to be human and to make all the mistakes I make.
I want you to be genuine and full of errors. I want to know you’re real.
I want you to screw things up but I know you’ll try so hard to make everything better.
Because you love me. Because you don’t want to lose me. Because you don’t want to let me go.
I want you to be yourself. I want you to make mistakes because mistakes are made so we can learn from them.
No one could ever change just because it came to them all of a sudden.
Firstly, you have to screw things up and suffer for it. Then, you realize you could have done things better.
Then, you wake up and you DO things better. You learn. You become better.
I want you to be real, to be yourself. I want you to be by my side when I’m down.
I want you to hold me and comfort me. I don’t need expensive gifts, fancy nights out.
All I want and need is for you to be there for me when it counts the most. When I need you the most.
I want you to trust me. I want you to give in to me and believe that I will take you where you want deep inside.
I want us to have that connection where we never doubt each other.
Even if it’s so f**king hard to believe your words, I will do so because I know you love me and you’d never harm me.
I want you to do the same.
I want you to show me that side of you which you’re trying to hide from the rest of the world, so that when you’re with me, you’re your authentic self.
I want to see your vulnerability, your weaknesses, your soft spots.
Just as you’re my rock, my strong man who is always there when I need him, I want you to fall apart in front of me when no one’s watching.
I want you to be comfortable enough to be weak and weary in my arms without feeling fear or shame.
I want you to be my motivation. When I want to give up, you’ll pick me up and sober me up to reality.
I want you to give me that kick I’m missing to move on and do what I planned to do from the start.
Without you, it is so much harder to keep going.
But with your love and your support, I feel like I could climb every mountain, swim every ocean and walk thousands of miles just to make my dreams come true.
I want you to help me become a better person.
Whatever I’m doing wrong, I want you to help me make it go away.
All my bad habits, my selfish deeds—I want them gone, all of them.
I was never even aware of what I was doing or my behavior in situations where I could have done better.
But you opened my eyes and I want you to keep doing that.
Keep helping me and I will keep helping you until we become the best versions of ourselves—not perfect, just the best.
I want you to love me with all of your heart, unconditionally.
I want you to love my broken parts, too. I want you to help me put them back together.
I want us to live through everything we know we deserve.
I want us to make up for everything we went through before we found each other.
I want you to be proud of me. I want you to hold me by your side, telling everyone I’m your girl and how much you love me.
I want you to show the world how much I mean to you.
I want to bring to life the part of you that you never knew existed.
I want to bring back the love you’ve been keeping hidden from the world.
I want to open your heart and show you it’s safe to love—but to love the right person.
I want a man who will never be confused about me.
I want a man who will never send me mixed signals because his love for me is the only thing he is sure about.
I want you to realize that I’m the reason why none of the relationships before me worked.
I’m the reason you got your heart broken so many times. That whole time, everything was happening for a reason.
You were waiting for me and I was waiting for you.
